Sacramento Cokes
Area: Sacramento
Year: 1943
Description: These Stathos brothers represent baseball stars in three sizes. On the extreme right is Gus, property of the Phillies. The 18-year old center fielder will get no chance to don flannels now that Uncle Sam has measured him for a suit of bell-bottomed trousers. Nick is the middle sized one. a 14-year older who plays the hot corner for Marcus Auto in the City Recreation Department's summer league. The little bitty stars are Tony, 12, and peter, 11, chucker and keystone man for Coca-Cola. Counting Mom and Pop, the Stathos family has enough players for a baseball nine of its own.
