Description: Reno Garage owner Jack Threlkel (in business suit) opened a baseball park far out on East 4th Street in 1930. The grass-covered field hosted semi-pro teams, with spectators sitting pretty in a wooden grandstand. Night lighting was added in 1940. The property was sold to the Wells Cargo trucking company in 1961 and the turf was transplanted to the Hidden Valley golf course. Nevada Historical Society photo, 1940.
