Norman Blackwell played and sponsored this all-Black team for recognition of his players who competed in the Sacramento Rural League in 1959. This team ended up winning the championship in 1959 against the top players from around Sacramento valley. Players named below were recruited by many top teams the following year: Norman Blackwell, Hue Jackson, Ray Newman, John Blackwell, James Reid, and Hue Jackson signed big league contracts.
